G'd night.
Embarking on a new chapter in life...I have found that baking and cake decorating is my new passion and it sooths and calms my soul. But more than that...it makes people happy (who can argue with that)

{{SNEAK PEAK}}
Here is a sneak peak at my Hello Kitty Graduation Cake. I have a few finishing touches to add in the morning and then she's off to be delivered to the graduation girl. I'm exhausted and off to slumber land.

Wonderful Mother's Day..
I had a wonderful day yesterday as i spent the day with family. It's so nice to know you are loved and to be able so show your love in return.
I wanted be able to give to Mothers something heart felt from me. What better than a mini cake made by none other than myself of course :)
I even made one cake completely vegan for my mom whom has dietary constraints. I was pretty nervous because I'm not at all familiar with vegan food. But she really liked it! I was so happy because I think she deserves the world!!!
Have a wonderful week ahead!!!

My Finished Cake...I'm so happy!!!
Here it is FINALY!!! I have finished the cake for my baby cousin's christening/dedication tomorrow. I absolutely LOVE how it came out. It was exactly how I had envisioned it in the beginning. I am so proud of myself and how far I have come in only 3 months.
It is basic yellow cake with homemade buttercream filling covered completely in my homemade fondant (which is really good).
The baby and al decorations are made of fondant and are edible. BUT I couldn't eat that precious sweetie. Could you?
Here are more photos. I look forward to your comments :)

Here is a sneak peak of what I've been working on for the past week. Is this a photo of a baby??? Nope, it's fondant and I sculpted it to look like my baby cousin. She has the prettiest black curly hair that I meticulously placed strand by strand (took a really long time). It's my present for my baby cousin's christening/dedication service this weekend. The cake is completely covered in my homemade fondant and buttercream. All decorations are fondant and completely edible.

What a day...I'm exhausted!!!!
So I spent today baking the cake for church tomorrow. The photos are below. It didn't quite turn out like I had envisioned, but it did turn out very pretty with the yellow, gray and white color scheme.
I'll start on the other cakes tomorrow or early next week. Off to bed now...I hope everyone has a good night.
Sleep well:)

Busy, busy, busy weekend-week ahead
So I've got quite a few cakes to get done between tomorrow and Mother's Day. Lots of photos will be posted I promise. Today I'm baking a classic yellow/double chocolate checker board (pattern inside) with buttercream and homemade fondant. This is for my family church that is having a dinner tomorrow.
I've also got a cute camouflage cake I'm trying to figure out for a friends birthday on Wed.
Then I am making 7, yes seven mini Mother's Day cakes for a few mothers in my family. Whew...crazy. Lastly, I have a beautiful cake to make for my baby cousin's christening service. Can't wait to finish that.
Oh, and then I have 150 cupcakes to make for the week after that. At least I won't be bored.
Here's a sneak peak of the inside of my camo cake :)
